Roopak Taal Theka - It’s a 7 Beat Taal/Rhythmic Cycle. Consist of 3 Divisions of 3/2/2 Beat each. Taali is on the 4th and 6th Beat and Khali is on the 1st beat.
This taal is used in both Classical Music and Light Music like Khyal Bandish, Accompanying String Instrument, Ghazal, Bhajan, Gurbani Keertan, Lok Sangeet. This is also used for Solo performance Peshkar, Kayda, Rela, Tukda, Gat, Laggi, Chakardar, Tihai, Paran, etc… Played in this Taal.
